St. José Sanchez Del Rio ~ Print
I found this Saint during my first SEEK conference in Utah 2025. I was stopped in my tracks seeing his young face and reading about his story that was posted next to his picture. I couldn’t get over how young he was when he passed and how devout he was in his faith.
Details about this painting from his story~
𐂃He is not riding the horse shown in the painting but holding the reins of the horse. This is because he gave away his horse for another so they would continue to fight.
𐂃The saddle on the horse are colors of the Mexican flag represent the country he was fighting for and loved.
𐂃There are footsteps on the trial to show that they were cut by the enemy who captured little José during the war. The enemy wanted him to walk with his feet cut but José continued to pray through each step he took and shouted “Viva Cristo Rey!”
𐂃 Our Lady of Guadalupe is shown in the sky because of his strong devotion to her but also to show she was present during everything St. José went through.
"St. José Sanchez Del Rio" 8 x 10' PRINTED ON WHITE MEDIUM CARDSTOCK PAPER with 1 in. border around image.
This print will include a FREE prayer card inside. (5th photo front + back)
